We have maintained a consistent commitment to collaborating with indigenous pastoralist communities in Turkana County, focusing on their land and natural resources rights. Notably, we have assisted two communities by facilitating them to the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning in Nairobi, thanks to the support of Namati Kenya. Our ongoing advocacy for community land registration remains our central thematic objective. We have also established a network of human rights defenders in both Turkana South and East.

Through legal empowerment fund, we persistently work to empower local communities concerning their land rights and the equitable distribution of benefits resulting from the acquisition of large parcels of land for development projects, with anticipation fair compensation.

Drawing from our learning experiences, we are actively documenting ancestral community lands in Turkana through a project known as "Bio-cultural Rights," generously supported by the Siemenpuu Foundation. Our primary aim is to safeguard their cultural lifestyle and the resources and enhance their capacity for participating in investment dialogues and negotiations during decision-making processes.
