LAN works with community groups, youths, women and civil society co-creating solutions, and influencing policy shifts on issues of climate change. Through its projects, LAN intends to test and demonstrate the link between improved access to reliable and affordable energy and knowledge and information and climate change adaptation especially among the neglected, marginalised and highly vulnerable communities on the frontline of climate crisis in Kenya. By lessons acquired from implementing its projects, LAN scales up its activities to reach out to more communities with much more impact across two climate vulnerable sub-counties in Turkana, namely: Turkana south and Turkana East sub-counties. LAN has trained fisher forks on climate justice, adaptation and mitigation by encouraging environmental conservation through planting of both indigenous and exotic fruit and shade trees.
